Be aware of deceptive schemes targeting artists online. 93.9 The Vibe is issuing an urgent warning about scammers and imposters illegally impersonating our station and on-air personalities seeking payment.

Often, scammers create fake social media accounts and e-mail addresses, stealing logos and photos from 93.9 The Vibe and its personalities, pretending to be 93.9 The Vibe or the personality. The message or caller claims to represent 93.9 The Vibe or a talent and promises airplay of the artist’s music in exchange for a payment – this is when you know the offer is a scam.

Do NOT send money to anyone making such requests. 93.9 The Vibe and its on-air personalities never charge or solicit payment for airplay. Protect yourself and report the scam at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
